The Problem: A Spring That Did Not Meet Expectations
Based on valuable feedback from our clients and users, we discovered that the springs for the MVe Chair were experiencing frequent breakages. This issue not only affected the product's durability but also impacted the experience of both Pilates instructors and students during classes. Upon investigating the problem in depth, we determined that the breakages always occurred at one end of the spring, specifically at the rings.
For a Pilates instructor, a broken spring in the middle of a session can become a real nightmare. The issue of breakages not only interrupted the flow of classes but also resulted in additional costs and downtime for Pilates studios. Aware of the magnitude of this problem, we decided to redesign the springs for the MVe Chair to provide a solution that meets our clients' expectations and maintains the quality standards that SuitPilates always upholds.
Our Solution: Innovation Based on Customer Experience
Our experience in spring manufacturing and design, combined with continuous feedback from our customers, allowed us to clearly identify the defect: a design flaw at the ends of the springs. To address this, we have redesigned the springs by replacing the end rings with rotating hooks. This simple yet effective modification significantly reduces the risk of premature breakage.
This new design offers several advantages:
Increased Durability: The rotating hooks reduce stress at the ends of the spring, thereby extending its lifespan and minimizing wear from continuous use.
Same Intensity and Length: Despite the changes, both the intensity and the total length of the spring remain unchanged, ensuring that the use and customer experience are consistent with the original design.
